This workshop will be held on April 22nd, 2018 at The Briarcliff Manor ( 25 Studio Hill Rd, Briarcliff Manor, NY 10510 ) from approximately 1pm to 8pm. This is a fully styled workshop complete with a bride, groom and bridal party. I will be taking you through a full day of wedding photography, from groom & bridal prep/portraits, a first look, a small mock ceremony, couples and bridal party portraits, a mini mock reception and a sunset/night portrait.
I will be Teaching you how I pose, light, secure clients, market and edit my photos. I will be teaching you how to use off camera lighting for portraits and also how to get the most out of your natural light by using reflectors and creative angles. We will start at my studio in yonkers going over the basics of what gear I use, what settings I'm typically utilizing through out the day, how I market myself, what social media tricks I employ to gain the right audience, ways to lock in your clients and how to prepare your contracts and some general tips and tricks I've learned in the 7 years I've been in business.
What you will need: a working camera (no point and shoots) must have at least a basic DSLR or mirrorless camera, A laptop with editing software, nice clothes! when you are not shooting you will pose as a guest during the mock ceremony and reception. For males, please wear a suit or at least slacks and a button down; females, business casual dress or elegant outfit. This workshop is for photographers just starting out in the wedding industry who want to learn the ropes, develop their style and build their portfolios. You must have a basic understanding of your camera but I will have associates there to help and guide you along throughout the day. It is not required that you have ever shot a wedding and you are encouraged to come if you are already a working professional wanting to boost your knowledge and portfolio. Your evening meal will be supplied. We are unable to make special food arrangements around any attendee's preferences and/or allergies however. Nearer to the time of the workshop, I will be sending you an email with more details and my studio address. I will set up a Facebook or Instagram group so everyone can get acquainted before the workshop and work out carpooling if need be.
I will teach you how I launched my career in only a few years and turned a passion into a 6 figure business. You are fully aware that once you send in a payment to Pete Lott Photography under no circumstances will it be refunded back to you.
You agree that Pete Lott Photography, it's staff, shoot venues, and/or any other affiliate of PLP shall be held free from and and all liability for any injury to myself or damage/loss of my equipment.
You also agree/understand that Pete Lott Photography can not predict the weather. In the event of inclimate weather, every effort will be made to proceed with the planned shoot. However, if the weather presents a concern for the safety of the PLP staff, attendees, and/or equipment, the planned shoot may be cancelled and a different shoot will be presented.
